UROLIFT® SYSTEM
Enlarged Prostate (BPH) Treatments – Minimally Invasive & No Medications
PACIFIC COAST UROLOGY IS A CENTER OF EXCELLENCE FOR THE UROLIFT® PROCEDURE!
One of the newest treatments for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is the the UroLift® System. UroLift is a minimally invasive device designed to treat lower urinary tract symptoms due to BPH.
The UroLift® System includes a delivery device and the UroLift® permanent implant. The UroLift System is FDA approved. It uses small plastic pieces to open up the prostate and is indicated for the treatment of BPH symptoms in men 50 years of age or older.
Dr. Pugach and Evans Tran, PA have been elected to the teaching faculty of Teleflex/Neotract, manufacturer of the remarkable Urolift® system for non-surgical treatment of BPH. Evans was the featured speaker at the January 2020 meeting for Urology Advanced Practice Providers to teach the Urolift® procedure and to share how impactful the procedure has been for men with BPH.
How does the UroLift® System Work?
>
The UroLift® System relieves prostate obstruction and opens the urethra directly by retracting the obstructing prostatic lobes. Small permanent UroLift® Implants are used to hold the lobes in the retracted position, thereby opening the urethra while leaving the prostate intact.

“I was recently referred to Dr. Robert Pugach, Urologist, by my primary physician due to a swollen prostate. How lucky was I! Dr. Pugach is a personable, authentic, precise, and thorough specialist. His attention to detail was meticulous and by the time I left his office, I truly had a thorough understanding of my ailment and what it would take to make me well. It was determined I needed a Urolift, a somewhat new procedure. Beginning with the preparation through the procedure and recuperation period, Dr Pugach and his staff went above and beyond, in the most kind, empathetic manner that truly made a very unpleasant experience manageable. For those needing to decide between medication or a procedure for a swollen prostate, I cannot recommend more highly Dr. Robert Pugach for he is simply ‘the best of the best’.” Gerry, 2019
